Changes to the CPCU 555 online course material

The Institutes has updated the course materials for their CPCU courses to a new “online” version. New exams for CPCU 555, 556, and 557 will start on January 15, 2021.

The topics covered in the new 1st edition online CPCU 555 have not changed dramatically from those in the 3rd edition textbook; however, the new book is about half the size of the previous version. If you were to prepare for your 2021 exam using the old material, you’d likely learn everything you need to know, and a whole lot more! Below is an outline of the new book and how it compares to the old material. Here at BigDaddy U, we refer to the chapters as Modules and the subsections within those chapters as Learning Objectives (LOs).

  • Module 1 – Managing Personal Risks

As stated above – you would likely pass your 2021 CPCU 555 exam using the old materials, but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend you take that route. There is a lot of extraneous information in the old CPCU 555 textbook that is not covered in the new exams. We will be updating our BDU CPCU 555 study materials in 2021, though we can’t estimate a release date at this time as we still need to review the other five CPCU concentration courses and prioritize the order in which we revise them. Please email help@bigdaddyu.com if you have any questions.
